Job Summary
Operate truck controls to engage, move, and reposition vacuum hoses when driving a tanker truck to transport hazmat or other materials from job sites to disposal locations. Safely operate and maintain company vehicles while completing DOT pre and post trip inspections and required paperwork. Load, unload, and set up vacuum hoses at the job site, then drive in accordance with dispatch instructions and all safety policies. Ensure all loads are properly secured before driving and report any accidents or injuries with the necessary forms. Move work-related equipment up to 50lbs and remain in a stationary position for long periods as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement
- 2-3 years' experience driving DOT regulated vehicles
- Must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Move about the jobsite as needed
- Must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Move work related equipment up to 50lbs
- Must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer
- Must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Operate machinery in compliance with all safety procedures
- Must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily
- Subject to pre-employment drug screening including that of THC
Desired Qualifications
- Hazmat is preferred, but not required
- Experience driving Hazmat materials strongly preferred
