Job Summary
Conduct safe operation of autonomous semi-trucks while obeying traffic laws and DOT regulations. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete driving reports and logs, and service the truck and trailer for maintenance tasks like refueling and tire checks. Ensure cargo is secured and maintain cleanliness throughout the vehicle. Navigate inter and intrastate regulations, road, and weather conditions, communicating any impacting changes immediately to site locations. Provide feedback on system performance and real-world testing to software and safety teams. Effectively use Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, and internal interfaces for communication and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Class A Driver's License
- safe driving record
- 3+ years of over-the-road driving experience
- Notable attention to detail, both with documentation and on the road
- Demonstrates ability to quickly learn and adapt to proprietary software, internally developed tools, and evolving technology platforms
