CDL Delivery Driver - Local Route

Job Summary
Receive daily work requests and execute scheduled deliveries to various accounts using a Class A or B CDL truck. Manage the route by reviewing account instructions, communicating with Sales Representatives, and pulling damaged products for back stock. Perform in-store duties including stocking shelves, rotating product, setting up displays, and organizing storage rooms. Resolve customer inquiries, notify supervisors of account issues, and adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding alcohol and CDL laws. Work four 10-hour days Tuesday through Friday, with seasonal hours potentially exceeding 10 hours. Maintain a valid DOT medical card and acceptable driving record while demonstrating sound judgment and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class B CDL with willingness to upgrade
- Current Class A CDL and DOT medical card
- Previous delivery experience
- Grocery/retail/beverage experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, other governmental agencies, and the public as appropriate
- Ability to manage own route and delegate effectively
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and independently with good time management
- Ability to handle wide range of tasks
- Understand and effectively communicate Summit Beverage's organizational mission and goals
- Must be able to read reports and use computer/table/office equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret documentation
- Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees and business contacts
- Must be aware of environment when driving
- 75-100% Standing/Walking

- 50-74% Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling
- 75-100% Lifting/Pushing/Pulling (approx. 50lbs up to 160lbs)
- 75-100% Grasping/Feeling/Hand Dexterity
- 0-24% Driving/Travel
- Minimum of four 10-hour days Tuesday – Friday
- Must adhere to all applicable Federal, state, and local regulations regarding the merchandising of alcoholic beverages
- Must adhere to all applicable Federal and State CDL laws including all Federal drug and alcohol laws
- Must maintain appropriate dress and appearance per Company standards
- Must display effective interpersonal communication (supplier, employee, customer)
- Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all areas of responsibility to ensure quality of work
- Must establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Must show sound judgment, decision-making, and accountability
- Must maintain a valid Commercial Drivers License, DOT Medical card, and acceptable driving record
- Must not abuse equipment and maintain company property such as Company vehicles
- Must take responsibility for all actions on route
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must work 4 Days a Week
- Must work 3 Day Weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Current Class A CDL and DOT medical card strongly preferred
- Grocery/retail/beverage experience a plus
