Job Summary
CDL Delivery Driver for Hajoca at Daytona Beach, FL. Responsible for operating trucks safely and in compliance with company rules and regulations; loading and unloading merchandise; securing loads; handling shipping documents and obtaining signatures; collecting payments for cash sales; resolving shipping discrepancies with customers; providing sales leads; performing pre-trip inspections and reporting mechanical issues; and completing required safety and compliance training. Must be able to drive vehicles over 26,001 lbs, hold a CDL with hazmat endorsement if required, pass DOT physicals, and communicate effectively in English; safety, warehouse practices, and customer-service skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Hazmat endorsement if operating a vehicle that requires placarding for hazardous materials
- Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver
- Able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and every two years
- Able to safely operate delivery vehicles including those with GVWR of 26,001 lbs or more
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
