Job Summary

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load products, and drive Class B CDL trucks to local construction sites, mines, and quarries. Operate manufacturing units, pull hoses, and install blasting products while ensuring raw materials are handled and stored according to DOT regulations. Report unusual incidents immediately and participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings. This hybrid role requires approximately 40% driving and 60% physical work, including lifting up to 60 pounds and climbing on/off the truck in all weather conditions. Early morning starts at 3 AM with 10-12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional overnight travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Requires Class B CDL
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds
  • Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more of product or other materials
  • Must be able to load product
  • Must be able to pull large hoses
  • Must be able to fill holes
  • Must be able to climb on/off the truck
  • Shoveling gravel to fill drilled holes consistently throughout the day
  • Pushing/pulling in working with equipment
  • Other activities include frequent bending and squatting
  • Must be able to load, pull, fill, and climb

Desired Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience driving and/or handling materials
  • Tanker endorsement
  • Hazmat endorsement
  • At least one year of experience driving
  • Class A CDL
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment
  • Good attention to detail and math skills to handle inventory daily
  • Ability to prioritize various projects, ongoing daily tasks, and high-priority situations to maximize efficiency
  • Early morning starts at approximately 3 AM – 5 AM
  • Work approximately 10-12 hours per day
  • Overtime may be needed
  • Up to 10% overnight travel may be required
  • Monday through Friday
  • Local driving (1-3 hours)
  • Pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicles, including checking and filling fluid levels
  • Ability to safely hook up and unhook trailers
  • Drives emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks
  • Ensure raw materials and dangerous goods are used, handled, and stored according to requirements
  • Ensure minimum damage to the environment through waste minimization and control
  • Report all unusual incidents and accidents immediately
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings
  • This is a blended role that consists of 40% driving and 60% physical work
  • The work environment involves being outside in all types of weather
