Job Summary
Drive and operate Orica's bulk trucks and Mobile Manufacturing Units to deliver blasting products to local construction sites, mines, and quarries. Perform 60% physical installation work including loading products, pulling hoses, operating control systems, and climbing on/off bulk trucks in all weather conditions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, manage hazardous goods compliance, and minimize environmental impact through waste reduction. Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings while reporting any unusual incidents immediately. Requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT knowledge, and ability to lift 60 pounds. Schedule includes Monday through Friday starts at 4 AM with 8-12 hour days, local driving, and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Requires the ability to load product, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
- Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day
- Regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
