Job Summary
Load products, pull hoses, and operate emulsion tanker trucks to deliver bulk explosives to construction sites, mines, and quarries. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, manage inventory, and ensure hazardous goods comply with safety regulations. Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and report any unusual incidents immediately. This hybrid role requires 40% driving and 60% physical work, including lifting up to 60 pounds and climbing on/off bulk trucks in all weather conditions. Early morning starts at 4 AM with 8–12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and up to 10% overnight travel. Valid Class B CDL required; Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, daily responsibilities, and urgent situations
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Ability to load product, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
- Ability to perform frequent shoveling of gravel
- Ability to perform regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
- Ability to perform frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday
- Willingness to obtain endorsements
