Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and refilling fluid levels. Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks to deliver bulk explosives to local construction sites, mines, and quarries. Perform physical installation tasks such as loading products, pulling hoses, operating control systems, and climbing on and off bulk trucks in various weather conditions. Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices. Immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents. Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings. Work Monday through Friday with early morning starts at approximately 4 AM. Schedule includes 8-12 hours per day, local driving of 1-3 hours, and potential overtime or overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Requires the ability to load product, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
- Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day
- Regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
- Other physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more
- Ability to load product
- Ability to pull large hoses

- Must be able to be accountable for the upkeep and maintenance of the equipment
- Must be able to deliver a high-quality service of bulk explosives to customers
- Must be able to conduct operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Must be able to perform daily responsibilities including loading products, driving a Class B CDL truck, pulling hoses, operating manufacturing units control systems, and climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
