Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Valid Class B CDL
• •Solid understanding of DOT regulations
• •High school diploma or equivalent
• •Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
• •Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
• •Requires the ability to load product, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
• •Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day
• •Regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
• •Other physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday
• •Must be able to lift 60 pounds
• •Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
• •Ability to load product
• •Ability to pull large hoses
• •Ability to fill drilled holes
• •Ability to climb on and off trucks
• •Frequent shoveling of gravel
• •Regular pushing and pulling

• •Must be available for early morning starts at approximately 4 AM
• •Must be available for work approximately 8-12 hours per day
• •Must be available for overtime

• •Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• •Must be able to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
• •Must be able to check and refill fluid levels
• •Must be able to operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks
• •Must be able to ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• •Must be able to minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices
• •Must be able to immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents
• •Must be able to actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings
• •Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, daily responsibilities, and urgent situations
• •Must be able to manage daily inventory tasks
• •Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• •Must have excellent attention to detail
• •Must have basic math skills
• •Must be able to drive a Class B CDL truck
• •Must be able to operate Orica's bulk trucks (Mobile Manufacturing Units)
• •Must be able to install blasting products for customers at local construction sites, mines, and quarries
• •Must be able to be accountable for the upkeep and maintenance of the equipment
• •Must be able to perform daily responsibilities including loading products, driving a Class B CDL truck, pulling hoses, operating manufacturing units control systems, and climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions
• •Must be able to provide blasting products while assisting in delivering a high-quality service of bulk explosives to customers
• •Must be able to conduct operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
