Job Summary
Drive a shuttle bus transporting customers to and from the facility, greeting passengers and assisting with loading and unloading. Operate the vehicle safely and efficiently while conducting pre/post trip inspections and monitoring vehicle conditions. Communicate with dispatchers via two-way radio to coordinate routes, announce arrivals, and handle customer issues. Treat all customers courteously and report accidents or safety situations to supervisors. Monitor traffic and weather conditions, notifying management of potential problems as needed.
Required Qualifications
- CDL
- 3 Years Drivers License
- Passenger Endorsement
- Valid driver's license
- At least 3 years of driving experience
- Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends
- Energetic, outgoing and can stand, run, and carry items, up to 50lbs, if needed
- Great communicator in both written and spoken language
- Friendly, professional approach to everyone you meet
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to help resolve customer issues in a positive and helpful way
- At least 21 years old
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands-to-fingers, handle tools or controls, reach with hands or arms, talk and hear
- Must be able to be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time
- Must be able to be exposed to fumes and airborne particles
- Must be able to tolerate noise levels ranging from minimal to moderate
- Must be able to comply with all traffic and safety regulations
- Must be able to communicate with dispatchers, drivers and other employees using a two-way radio system
- Must be able to conduct pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses
- Must be able to monitor vehicle condition and record malfunctioning items or damage
- Must be able to monitor traffic and weather conditions
- Must be able to report accidents or other safety situations
- Must be able to greet passengers and provide assistance with loading and unloading
- Must be able to operate the shuttle bus in a safe and efficient manner
- Must be able to treat all customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner
- Must be able to work flexible shifts
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be able to work evenings
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service: 1 year+
- Experience driving a shuttle bus or commercial vehicle: 1 year+
