Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and refilling fluid levels. Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks to deliver blasting products to local construction sites, mines, and quarries. Perform physical installation tasks such as loading products, pulling hoses, operating manufacturing unit control systems, and climbing on and off bulk trucks in various weather conditions. Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices. Immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents. Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings. Schedule includes Monday through Friday, early morning starts at 3:00 AM, and approximately 10-12 hours per day. Valid Class B CDL required with DOT, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, daily responsibilities, and urgent situations
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Ability to load product, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
- Ability to perform frequent shoveling of gravel
- Ability to perform regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
- Ability to perform frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday
- Willingness to obtain endorsements
