Job Summary
Operate Orica's bulk trucks and Mobile Manufacturing Units to deliver blasting products to construction sites, mines, and quarries, performing 60% physical installation work including loading, pulling hoses, and operating control systems alongside 40% driving duties. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, manage hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations, and minimize environmental impact through waste reduction. Report incidents immediately and participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings. Requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT knowledge, and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions lifting up to 60 pounds. Monday through Friday schedule with early morning starts, 10-12 hours daily, and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Requires the ability to load product, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
- Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day
- Regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
- Other physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Ability to load product
- Ability to pull large hoses
- Ability to fill drilled holes
- Ability to climb on and off trucks

- Must be able to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
- Must be able to check and refill fluid levels
- Must be able to operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks
- Must be able to ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Must be able to minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices
- Must be able to immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents
- Must be able to actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings
