Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and refilling fluid levels, while operating emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks. Load products, pull large hoses, and climb on and off bulk trucks to install blasting products at local construction sites, mines, and quarries. Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, minimizing environmental impact through waste reduction. Immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents and actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings. Work Monday through Friday with early morning starts at 3:00 AM, requiring approximately 10-12 hours per day, with overtime and up to 10% overnight travel possible.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Requires the ability to load product, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
- Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day
- Regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
- Other physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more of product or materials
- Ability to load product
- Ability to pull large hoses
- Ability to fill drilled holes
