Job Summary

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including fluid checks, and safely hook up and unhook trailers. Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks to deliver and install blasting products at mining, quarry, and construction sites. Load products, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks while ensuring hazardous goods are handled in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Perform preventative maintenance and minimize environmental impact through waste reduction practices. Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings to promote a safe work environment. Report any unusual incidents or accidents immediately. This hybrid role combines approximately 40% driving and 60% physical field work, requiring early morning starts and outdoor operation in all weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

Valid Class B CDL
Solid understanding of DOT regulations
Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or material handling
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more of products or materials
Requires the ability to load products, pull large hoses, fill drilled holes, and climb on and off trucks
Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day
Regular pushing and pulling while working with equipment
Other physical activities include frequent bending, squatting, and general mobility throughout the workday
Must be able to lift 60 pounds
Must be able to carry 50 pounds or more
Ability to safely hook up and unhook trailers
Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks
Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices
Immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents
Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings
