Job Summary
Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 ton to facilitate shipping/receiving operations and deliver bakery products. Perform pre/post maintenance checks and provide required reports. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Maintain all required DOT certifications and comply with safety policies and DOT regulations. Travel within the tri-state area to support transportation operations and uphold asset protection and efficiency. Maintain and protect company property in excellent condition. Perform other duties as needed to support and improve overall department operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid CDL Class A license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 1 year minimum of professional driving experience preferred
- Acceptable driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screening, background check, and other pre-employment requirements
- Must be capable of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Other physical requirements: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, bending, twisting
- Must be able to read, write, and speak well as perform simple math
- Ability to operate computerized systems
- Can travel within the tri-state area
