Job Summary
CDL-A Driver responsible for safe, timely delivery of metal building products to customers and job sites. Operates a Class A commercial vehicle, loads and unloads materials per DOT safety standards, inspects vehicles, maintains delivery records, and communicates with dispatch and customers regarding schedules. Utilizes a Moffett forklift for unloading, adheres to federal/state/local regulations, ensures loads are secured, and provides exemplary customer service during deliveries. Experience in loading/ unloading, load securement, safety compliance, and strong communication are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
- Previous flatbed hauling experience preferred
- Experience operating a Moffett forklift strongly preferred
- Knowledge of load securement procedures for building materials
- Ability to safely lift and handle delivery materials when required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively
