Job Summary
Safely operate a tractor and trailer to load, transport, and deliver feed and agricultural products to specified destinations. Pick up loads at origin sites and unload products at customer locations, ensuring correct placement and securing delivery confirmations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, maintain accurate Hours of Service logs, and complete all required documentation in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch, mill employees, and customers while representing the company with pride. Depending on operational needs, drivers may be assigned to belt, flat-rack, stinger, or relief equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A California Commercial Driver's License with required endorsements
- Current Med Cert
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- 2+ years of experience driving truck/trailer combinations
- Comfortable with shift work, weekends, or overtime
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Ability to climb ladders/steps on tractors, trailers and customer locations
- Ability to sit and operate a commercial vehicle for extended periods
- Regular and predictable attendance
