Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip inspections of tractor-trailers and straight trucks, then drive between terminals to transport parcels. Complete mileage and maintenance forms, wash equipment daily, and assist with loading, delivery, or pickup as needed. Maintain all required DOT certifications and company safety policies while operating manual transmissions with doubles/triples endorsements. Handle freight including hazardous materials, perishables, and live animals. Work Monday through Friday starting at 9:00 PM with 10–15 hours of overtime expected weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license
- Good driving record that meets company standards
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
- Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check
- At least 21 years of age
