Job Summary
CDL Class A Driver responsible for safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading high-tonnage heavy earthmoving equipment (from D8 dozers to larger machinery) using flatbeds and lowboys. Role requires thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, correct securement of loads in accordance with DOT regulations, and maintaining driver logs and transport documentation. Drivers should have extensive experience with various trailer types, strong safety/compliance mindset, and be willing to commute to dispatch yards from San Antonio or Comfort, TX. Familiarity with operating automatic and manual transmissions is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- 10+ years of dedicated experience transporting heavy equipment and hauling large earthmoving machinery
- Proven experience operating trailer types ranging from flatbeds to lowboys
- Preferred proficiency in operating both automatic and manual transmissions (no manual restrictions preferred)
- Safety-minded professional with a strong commitment to compliance and secure transport protocols
- Proximity to the San Antonio or Comfort, TX areas with a reliable commute to dispatch yards
