Job Summary
Operate and drive a Class A CDL truck to ensure safe, efficient transportation of goods across OTR routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, managing customer-based and no-touch freight with a 60% drop-and-hook ratio. Drive 2,500-3,000 miles per week in traffic lanes east of I-35, utilizing a 2024-2026 Peterbilt 579 Ultra Loft equipped with modern amenities. This 1099/Owner-Operator opportunity offers lease-purchase ownership in 2-4 years, comprehensive maintenance coverage, and a "Stay Pay" longevity bonus structure for drivers completing annual service milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- 2 years of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- valid Class A CDL
- valid DOT physical
- pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- No DUI or DWI convictions within the past 5 years
- ability to read, write, and speak the English language in accordance with FMCSR
- Stable job history for the past 3 years
- No more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- No convictions for a 'serious or disqualifying traffic violation' within the last 3 years
- No suspension/revocations in the past 12 months
- No 'preventable' DOT reportable accidents in the past 3 years
