Job Summary
Load and arrange freight for efficient delivery order, operate company-assigned Class A truck safely, and adjust to local travel conditions. Answer customer questions with professionalism, communicate delivery issues to management, and collaborate with dispatch to plan routes. Maintain your assigned truck in clean and working condition while navigating local routes in McDonough, GA. Starting at $25.55 per hour with quarterly safety bonuses, this role requires a valid Class A CDL, 24 months of recent experience, and knowledge of DOT regulations. You must meet FMCSA requirements including a clean drug and alcohol screen. Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL Drivers License
- Minimum of 24 months of experience working in a full-time Class A Tractor/Trailer driving position in the previous 3 years
- No more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three years (3) years
- No serious traffic violations or convictions while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years
- No clearinghouse violations in the last 5 years
- Knowledge of all applicable DOT regulations and Motor Carrier Safety regulations
- Ability to satisfy FMCSA/DOT requirements including a clean drug and alcohol screen and a passing DOT physical
- High level of reliability and commitment to the role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate interactions professionally
- Ability to read and speak the English Language sufficiently to converse with the general public and respond to official inquiries to drivers
- Must meet minimum age and insurability requirements (21 years of age or older) in accordance with company insurance policies and/or federal regulations governing commercial vehicle operation
- Flexibility to work an occasional weekend day
- Must be available for Monday–Friday, 2:00pm Start Time
