Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip inspections and complete required forms to ensure mechanical and safety equipment are operational before driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck. Deliver palletized freight and large shipments to customers while picking up loads from shippers, verifying documentation and collecting payment as necessary. Maintain all DOT certifications and company safety policies, wash equipment daily, and assist with loading or delivery tasks. Requires a valid CDL Class A license with doubles/triples endorsement, manual transmission ability, and a good driving record. Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM start with 10–15 hours of overtime expected weekly.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
- Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check
