Job Summary
Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on a dedicated daily out-of-state route between company locations, completing required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensuring loads are secure. Transport materials safely and without damage while maintaining accurate ELD logs, trip records, and all DOT/FMCSA regulations, including Hours of Service requirements. Communicate with facility teams regarding delays or safety concerns and promptly report vehicle maintenance needs. Follow company safety standards and defensive driving practices to represent the organization professionally. This predictable, Monday–Friday role offers no weekends, a consistent schedule, and weekly overtime opportunities for experienced drivers seeking stability without OTR.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A with an acceptable driving record
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Tractor-trailer driving experience
- Ability to meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Familiarity with ELD systems and electronic trip reporting
- Strong commitment to safe driving and attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work the required schedule
- Experience with manufacturing, distribution, or inter-facility transportation is preferred
