Job Summary
CDL Class A Driver responsible for local deliveries and occasional overnight deliveries of finished steel coils; operates Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with pay ranging from $28.62 to $37.64 per hour. Delivers items by identifying destinations and routes, inspects loads to ensure cargo is secured, maintains safe operation of the vehicle, and completes delivery records and driver logs. Performs duties in accordance with safety and security standards and may perform other duties as assigned. Requires a valid Class A CDL with at least 3 years of experience, High School diploma or GED, flatbed/48' or 53' trailer experience, clean driving record, ability to pass background and drug tests, and be 21+ years old. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of math for units of measure; physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally; standard attendance with potential overtime; work environment includes loud conditions and outdoor exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL license with a minimum of 3 years CDL experience and must meet all DOT requirements.
- Graduation from High School or GED equivalent, three (3) years of relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
- Flatbed and 48' and 53' trailer experience required; steel hauling and delivery experience desired.
- Must have good driving record.
- Must provide a current copy of Motor Vehicle Report when called for an interview.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to pass background and drug test.
- Language skills to read and write routine reports or job orders; communicate with customers or employees.
