Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle legally and safely, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, loading, securing, and unloading heavy haul equipment and materials. Verify loads for accuracy, report defects immediately, and log all on-duty hours while complying with DOT laws and FMCSA policies. Handle general labor tasks including running trash dumpsters to landfills, washing and patching containment, and assisting with tasks across other divisions as needed. Maintain the vehicle, keep it clean, and ensure up-to-date medical card status. Work in teams or solo under extreme weather conditions, with travel up to 25% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Current Med-Card
- 2+ yrs. driving experience
- 1+ yrs. load securement experience
- basic math skills
- Capability of lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Capability to work in extreme weather conditions such as heat/cold/ wind/rain/snow.
- Must pass pre-employment fit test
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be available for travel up to 25% of time
- Understanding of DOT regulations
- Understanding Load Securement
- Ability to load and unload equipment such as manlifts, loaders, telehandlers
- Ability to drive a Company Vehicle in a legal, safe and professional manner
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
- Knowledge of FMCSA policies
- Ability to utilize timekeeping system, smart phone, and some computer skills
