Job Summary
CDL Class A Driver responsible for transporting and delivering building materials to customers, distribution centers, and construction sites using a tractor-trailer. Roles include safe driving, top-notch customer service, material handling, and unloading support with a Moffett when delivering or returning products. Maintain compliance with Federal/State regulations, logs, and records; perform pre- and post-trip inspections; ensure vehicle cleanliness and readiness; report maintenance needs; and handle routine inquiries about packing lists and invoices. Requires 2+ years of flatbed driving experience (winter driving preferred), a valid Class A CDL, a medical card, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- 2 years of previous tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience including winter driving experience
- Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Must be able to work independently
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods
- Specific vision abilities required
