Job Summary
Transport and deliver building materials to customers, distribution centers, and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer and piggy-back trailer-mounted forklift. Perform material handling activities including loading and unloading by hand, forklift, or overhead crane. Reconcile material requirements with shipping lists, obtain customer signatures, and conduct daily pre and post trip inspections. Operate onboard recording systems while adhering to DOT regulations and traffic laws. Deliver products during the day, provide courteous customer service, and perform vehicle cleaning and inventory cycle counts. Requires a Class A CDL, 2 years of tractor-trailer flatbed experience, and ability to lift 60+ pounds. Full-time day shift Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- High School diploma or GED required
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- 2 years of previous tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
- Must be able to drive interstate as business necessitates
- Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Must be insurable according to company insurance requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
