Job Summary
Transport and deliver building materials to customers, distribution centers, and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer and piggy-back trailer-mounted forklift. Perform material handling activities including loading and unloading by hand, forklift, or overhead crane. Conduct daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle, reconcile shipping lists, obtain customer signatures, and assist in inventory management. Provide courteous customer service while adhering to DOT regulations and traffic laws. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and function, perform housekeeping activities, and lift heavy products up to 60 pounds. Work day shifts Monday through Friday at the Aledo, TX location.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- High School diploma or GED required
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- 2 years of previous tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
- Must be able to drive interstate as business necessitates
- Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Must be insurable according to company insurance requirements
- Must be able to lift 60+ pounds
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
