Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments to transport waste, recyclable material, or large mobile containers to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Navigate high-traffic roadways, congested driveways, alleyways, and lots while performing highly skilled backing maneuvers in both residential and industrial environments. Perform pre and post-trip inspections, document checks, and completely dump receptacles leaving customer locations clean. Follow route assignments as directed by Operations Manager or Dispatch, complete end-of-day documentation, and report all unsafe situations, service interruptions, or incidents immediately. Requires a CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement, one year of driving experience, and strict compliance with safety rules and DOT regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
- 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air-brake endorsement
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an air-brake endorsement
