Job Summary
Perform all pre-trip responsibilities including route number verification, load counting, and DOT/FMCSA safety inspections. Drive to and deliver customer orders while maintaining load temperatures and unloading products with a hand truck or by hand. Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, collect payments, and communicate invoice discrepancies to management. Manage backhauls according to dispatch and jurisdictional compliance, then complete post-trip duties such as reporting damaged goods, filing paperwork, and securing the vehicle. Report accidents and injuries immediately and attend all required company meetings. Requires a valid Class B CDL, minimum age of 21, and one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience
- Minimum age of 21
- Valid Class B CDL
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Push/pull up to 75 lbs
- Ascend and descend a step with a height of 17 in. from floor
- Ascend and descend 3 rungs of the ladder, the first rung at 21 in. from the ground
- Voluntary consent to a pre-employment drug screen
