Job Summary
Conduct safe, timely deliveries of building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius, verifying inventory and ensuring damage-free loads. Perform thorough vehicle inspections, assess site conditions to prevent hazards, and collaborate with customers for material placement. Document all deliveries with photos per company policy and support yard operations while adhering to DOT, OSHA, and safety protocols. Manage long hours and varied weather conditions while physically handling materials up to 100 lbs. Operate forklifts or Moffett's equipment and read job-related documents in English. No overnight travel required; all shifts begin and end at the home branch.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving
- Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to operate forklifts/Moffett's safely
- Ability to work in varied conditions
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Age 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat)
- Pass background checks
- Pass drug tests
- Pass E-Verify
- High school diploma or GED
- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- FMCSA Registration
- Successful completion of pre-employment screenings including background check, drug test, and verification via the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) Clearinghouse
