Job Summary
Operate a waste hauling truck to provide residential trash and recycling pickup within approximately 150 miles of home. Lift and carry residential waste and deposit it into a compactor throughout your route. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report any defects, accidents, or violations to management. Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform other duties as assigned. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations, including size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods. Schedule is home daily, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically running 10-12 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class B driving experience
- CDL Class A or B
- No more than one moving violation on MVR within the last 3 years
- Schedule is home daily, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically running 10-12 hours
- Regularly operates a commercial vehicle within approximately 150 miles of home
- Frequently lifts and carries residential waste and deposits it into a compactor throughout the shift
- Regular entering, exiting, and maneuvering of the truck for loading and unloading
- Work is performed on the road in varying weather conditions
