Job Summary
Operate a Front-End Load/Roll Off commercial recycling truck on assigned routes, loading and unloading 2 to 8-yard commercial containers using joystick controls while ensuring safe overhead clearance. Deliver recyclables to designated facilities, maintain route sheets, and complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections following all DOT regulations. Communicate with dispatchers, report mechanical issues immediately, and maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior. Complies with mandatory safety briefings and operational standards. Requires a valid Texas CDL, DOT medical card, and ability to climb into/out of the truck in all weather conditions. Full-time position in Little Rock, AR.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Must be able to climb into and out of truck several times per day using three points of contact
- Must be able to sit for extended periods as well as walk for short periods
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, and squat to perform a full inspection of the underside of the truck and inspect tires for adequate inflation and potential damage
- Must be able to work outside for short periods of time in all types of weather
- Must be able to see and hear proficiently to operate a commercial motor vehicle in a safe manner
- Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment
- Must have a valid Texas CDL and DOT medical card
- Must meet all Federal & State DOT requirements
- Must be able to pass a written and road test
- Must pass drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- At least 3 years of satisfactory driving experience of Class A or B vehicles preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deal professionally with customers, dispatchers, mechanics, and other drivers
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Excellent driving skills
- Computer Skills: Basic use of Tablets and Applications
- High school Diploma or GED Equivalent
