Job Summary
Ensure successful and timely delivery of products throughout the state of Virginia on retail routes. Operate two wheeled hand trucks, electric and hydraulic pallet jacks, and handle cases ranging from 10 to 48 lbs, as well as quarter and half barrels up to 165 lbs. Perform frequent walking, climbing stairs, two-handed lifting from floor to overhead, and sustained squatting or bending while moving heavy cases and barrels on level surfaces. Shift runs Monday through Friday between 5:00 AM and 3:00 PM or until route completion. Requires a valid, clean CDL B license and experience driving full-sized straight trucks.
Required Qualifications
- valid and clean CDL B driver's license
- high school diploma or GED
- experience driving full-sized straight trucks
- Must be able to lift 10 to 30 lb
- Must be able to lift 25 to 48 lb
- Must be able to lift 87 lb
- Must be able to lift 165 lb
- Must be able to walk and climb steps and stairs on a frequent basis
- Must be able to perform two handed lifting, handling, carrying cases from floor to overhead on a frequent basis
- Must be able to perform two handed lifting, handling, carrying quarter barrels and half barrels from floor to 48" on a frequent basis
- Must be able to push and pull two wheeled hand truck with cases on level surfaces on a frequent basis
- Must be able to push and pull pallet jacks with cases and/or barrels on level surfaces on an occasional basis
- Must be able to perform sustained squatting, kneeling, stooping and bending while moving cases and barrels
