CDL Asphalt Distributor/Tack Truck Driver

Job Summary
Drive Asphalt Distributor/Tack Truck in front of paving operation to spray tack and prepare the surface for paving. Work behind the paver with a shovel or asphalt rake as needed, in between operating the truck. Operate other paving and heavy equipment as needed – such as rollers, back hoes, and skid steers. Other duties as assigned by lead or foreman. Must have valid CDL with tanker endorsement and a focus on safety. Experience in asphalt paving is preferred. The role supports paving crews on commercial parking lots, city streets, county roads, and interstate highways; overtime and weekends may be required.
Required Qualifications
- CDL license with tanker endorsement
- minimum of 1 year of experience in an asphalt paving operation – preferred, not required
- physical ability for routine maintenance and cleaning of spray system
- ability to perform various labor tasks as part of the construction crew
- pass pre-employment drug screen
- safe driving record
- ability to work overtime and weekends
