CDL A Warehouse Operator/Relief Driver

Job Summary
Operate propane/electric, diesel forklifts, and yard mules to push, pull, lift, stack, and tier products and materials. Pull orders from storage, verify load accuracy, and ensure cargo is packed and sealed according to procedures. Load and unload trailers, containers, and breakbulk cargo to/from trucks and Port terminals within a 35-mile radius, maneuvering vehicles into loading positions and inspecting trucks for mechanical issues. Maintain inventory accuracy through daily counts and reports, optimize workspace organization, and comply with all OSHA safety regulations and company policies. Perform daily equipment maintenance checks and submit reports for defects or accidents. Requires a valid Class A CDL license, one year of forklift certification, two years of Class A truck driving experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Shifts include overtime as necessary, with a team player attitude and willingness to work overtimes.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as forklift operator, with a minimum of one (1) year experience, with valid certification to operate forklifts
- Must have a valid CDLA License
- Minimum of two (2) year's experience with Class A CDL Truck driving experience and/or training; of equivalent combination of education and experience
- No DUI or similar violations on motor vehicle record; no other moving or driving violations within the past seven years
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local truck driving rules and regulations
- Ability to read, count and interpret document (written in English) related to delivery schedules, bills of lading, loading and unloading, and other driver's duties and projects
- Prior warehouse experience, including stacking cargo on pallets or into bundles and performing general warehouse housekeeping
- Attention to detail and familiarity with warehouse equipment
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- Capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
- Must be able to use proper lifting technique to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements
- Ability to read, speak and comprehend English, count accurately, perform basic math equations and write legibly
- Ability to follow detailed order instructions
- Ability to follow all safety and standard operating protocols and policies
- Team player with a good attitude
- Ability to shift priorities easily
- Ability to work overtimes as necessary
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment history/recommendation
