Job Summary
Safely operate a vehicle to collect, transport, and deliver donations, processed merchandise, and other materials as directed. Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks, unload vehicles, and move items as required while adhering to all safety policies and local, county, state, and federal laws. Provide high-level customer service to donors and resolve concerns or escalate issues when necessary. Process and submit paperwork as directed, maintain regular attendance, and work overtime to complete assigned tasks. Must hold a California Class A Driver License with a clean record, possess at least two years of commercial driving experience, and be available for weekends and early mornings.
Required Qualifications
- California Class A Driver License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- California DMV record that is no more than 30 days old
- Current MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that has no citation convictions (other than parking) within past 3 years
- Department of Transportation medical card
- Ability to read maps and communicate using GW issued radio or phone equipment
- Pass pre-employment DOT drug test as a condition of employment
- Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to interact effectively with diverse customer base
- Availability to work weekends and early mornings
- Respect and knowledge of cultures, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than ones own, able to work effectively with all
- Ability to lift minimum 25 lbs
