Job Summary
Operate tandem-axle sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions hauling freight in 53-foot dry van trailers across western and mountain states. Safely conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections while maintaining accurate logs and transportation documentation. Transport freight across designated routes adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules, performing unloading with roller systems when required. Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations teams, and customers while protecting cargo integrity and representing the company professionally. Manage delivery schedules and route assignments efficiently within a dedicated fleet environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 3 months of recent CDL-A driving experience
- Ability to safely operate commercial motor vehicles in varying weather and road conditions
- Ability to unload freight using roller systems when required
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hours-of-Service requirements
- Acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history
- Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings
- Strong attendance and dependability record
- Ability to work scheduled routes and maintain delivery commitments
