Job Summary

Deliver Halperns' meat and seafood products to customers with courtesy, accuracy, and on-time performance. Operate a tractor-trailer, straight truck, or van while performing daily pre/post trip inspections and maintaining the vehicle in a clean, organized condition. Monitor reefer temperatures, report mechanical issues immediately, and safeguard company funds by collecting payments and following banking policies. Complete daily check-ins, manage paperwork including registers and pick-ups, and collaborate with management to address customer concerns. Perform other duties as assigned while adhering to all DOT policies and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

At least 21 years of age
Class A CDL License
Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
Clean driving record
Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent
At least 6 months previous driving tractor/trailer experience
DOT Medical Card
CDL A required at hire
Ability to adhere to all safety/compliance regulations and procedures
Must maintain a professional appearance
Requires punctuality

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment
Must be goal oriented with a positive can-do attitude
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language

Ability to operate a van, straight truck and/or tractor-trailer CMV as appropriate
