Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally, completing pre- and post-trip inspections, monitoring hours of service, and maintaining accurate logs per federal regulations. Transport dry van freight across the I-95 corridor through Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia, with occasional deliveries in Tennessee or Georgia, while coordinating driving and rest with your co-driver to stay productive. Verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly, and complete bills of lading accurately. Represent the client professionally at customer locations, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report mechanical issues promptly. Home weekly with a 34-hour reset; average earnings are $1,335 per week ($69,420 annualized) based on mileage pay. Valid Class A CDL with 3 months verifiable experience and DOT medical certification required.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Meeting all Department of Transportation qualification requirements
- Holding a current DOT medical certification
- An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Compliance with all federal testing requirements throughout employment
- Hiring within 100 miles of Lake City, FL, plus NC, SC and GA
