Job Summary
CDL A Tanker Driver roles at Heniff Transportation involve local, regional, and OTR tanker hauling for food-grade liquids from the Blair, NE terminal. Responsibilities include hooking to loaded trailers at the terminal, delivering loads, and handling preloading. Hazmat-endorsed drivers and Passport holders are encouraged to apply. Available positions include Local (home daily), Regional, and OTR with varying home-time expectations. 95% of loads are pre-loaded, with Hazmat-endorsed drivers preferred; typical duties include driving, loading/unloading as applicable, and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement from state of residence
- Hazmat Endorsement strongly preferred
- Valid Passport preferred (Canada deliveries available)
- 12 months verifiable tractor/trailer experience under a DOT-certified carrier
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no more than 2 in the last 12 months
- No preventable DOT recordable crashes within the last 3 years
- No major traffic violations within stated lookback periods: Reckless/careless driving last 5 years
- DWI/DUI last 5 years
- Hit and run / leaving the scene of an accident last 5 years
- Excessive speeding (15+ mph over posted limit) last 3 years
