Job Summary
Heniff Transportation is hiring Company Drivers and Owner Operators for food-grade tank hauling out of our Blair (Omaha), NE terminal. Most loads are pre-loaded; drivers hook to a loaded trailer and deliver. Hazmat food-grade liquids (lactic acid) are common; Hazmat-endorsed drivers and Passport holders are encouraged. Available roles include Local (home daily), Regional (2–4 days out), and OTR (5+ days out). Pay includes top pay by percent of linehaul and hourly load/unload pay, with home time and weekend resets typical. Requirements include CDL A with Tank Endorsement, Hazmat endorsement preferred, Passport preferred for some deliveries, 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, and adherence to DOT safety regulations and driving record standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement
- Hazmat Endorsement strongly preferred
- Passport preferred (Canada deliveries available)
- 12 months verifiable tractor/trailer experience under a DOT-certified carrier
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no more than 2 in the last 12 months
- No preventable DOT recordable crashes within the last 3 years
- No major traffic violations within lookback periods: Reckless/careless driving last 5 years; DWI/DUI last 5 years; Hit and run last 5 years; Excessive speeding last 3 years
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
