Job Summary
CDL A Tanker Driver based at the Blair (Omaha), NE terminal for Heniff Transportation. Roles include Local, Regional, and OTR positions hauling Hazmat food-grade liquids (80% hazmat freight, Lactic Acid). Preloading and terminal-based start, home time with daily or occasional overnight layovers, weekend resets common, with benefits including health/dental/vision, PTO, 401k, and safety incentives. Requirements include CDL-A with Tank Endorsement, hazmat preferred, passport preferred, 12 months tractor-trailer experience, and clean driving/record history. Routes vary from local home daily to 5+ days OTR; emphasis on safety and compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement from state of residence
- Hazmat Endorsement strongly preferred
- Valid Passport preferred (Canada deliveries available)
- 12 months verifiable tractor/trailer experience under a DOT-certified carrier
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no more than 2 in the last 12 months
- No preventable DOT recordable crashes within the last 3 years
- No major traffic violations within stated lookback periods: Reckless/careless driving last 5 years
- DWI/DUI last 5 years
- Hit and run / leaving the scene of an accident last 5 years
- Excessive speeding (15+ mph over posted limit) last 3 years
