Job Summary
CDL A Tanker Driver positions with Heniff Transportation for Company Drivers and Owner Operators in food-grade tank hauling. Based out of the Blair (Omaha), NE terminal, most loads are pre-loaded; drivers hook to a loaded trailer and deliver. Roles include Preloading (home daily), Local (home daily or out one night), Regional (out 2–4 days), and OTR (out 5+ days). Pay structure features top pay by percent of linehaul and hourly load/unload pay, plus strong benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, 401k match, life insurance) and safety incentives. 95% of loads are Hazmat food-grade freight; Hazmat endorsement and Passport holders are encouraged. Must comply with FMCSA regulations, be at least 21, and hold a valid Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement; Hazmat endorsement strongly preferred. Experience requirement: 12 months verifiable tractor/trailer experience; clean driving record with limited violations.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement from state of residence
- Hazmat Endorsement strongly preferred
- Valid Passport preferred (Canada deliveries available)
- 12 months verifiable tractor/trailer experience under a DOT-certified carrier
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no more than 2 in the last 12 months
- No preventable DOT recordable crashes within the last 3 years
- No major traffic violations within stated lookback periods: Reckless/careless driving last 5 years
- DWI/DUI last 5 years
- Hit and run / leaving the scene of an accident last 5 years
- Excessive speeding (15+ mph over posted limit) last 3 years
