Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport general commodities and specialized cargo on regional routes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo (hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight), maintain DOT/FMCSA logs and paperwork, plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Must meet DOT/FMCSA physical requirements and communicate professionally with customers and dispatch; emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork on the road and in the yard.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred but not required
- DOT/FMCSA medical certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
