Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo across regional lanes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo with special handling for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and ensure complete paperwork. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep equipment clean. Strong emphasis on reliability, time management, and clear communication with customers and dispatch; must be a team player and safety-conscious.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL — required
- High School Diploma or GED
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
