Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes to haul general and specialized freight, including hazmat or temperature-sensitive cargo. Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, secure cargo, maintain DOT/FMCSA logs and paperwork, plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, and conduct basic vehicle maintenance. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to communicate professionally with customers and dispatch. Home time is typically weekly or weekends depending on route; compensation includes percentage-based line haul, detentions, stop-pay, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL — required.
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.
