Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight including general commodities and specialized cargo regionally; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report defects, accidents, or violations; load, secure, and inspect cargo with special handling for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight; maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and collect signatures; plan routes and schedules to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean; HazMat endorsement preferred not required; Home weekends depending on route; competitive pay structure with line haul incentives and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL — required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
