Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport dry freight regionally (400–500 miles per trip) hauling general and hazmat/special cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow hazmat or temperature-sensitive handling procedures. Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and collect signatures. Plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance; keep trailer clean and ready. Requires teamwork, reliability, safety-conscious approach, strong time management, and clear communication with customers and dispatch. Compensation includes mileage pay with tiered rates based on experience, quarterly safety bonus, weekly home time, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
