Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes (400–500 miles from Wooster, OH) to transport dry freight and hazmat or temperature-sensitive cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and secure signatures. Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows; handle basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean. Demonstrate reliability, safety focus, time management, clear communication with customers and dispatch, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
